HeadteacherMrs Jessica Richards

Jessica is proud to be Headteacher of Northside Primary School. She qualified in the UK and has taught for 17 years, mostly in international schools. Starting in London, she taught in Morocco before moving to Botswana in 2004. She is a passionate educator who loves her dynamic school.

Deputy HeadteacherMr Mark Mitchell

Mark joined Northside in 2017 as a Standard 7 teacher specialising in Mathematics. He studied and obtained his degree in South Africa where he taught upper primary school students. His passions include technology, sport and the outdoors.

Head of Student Support ServicesMrs Bev Dunlop-Jones

Beverley is an experienced Special Needs Educator who stays current in her field. Studied in South Africa, starting her teaching career there before moving to Botswana. She has worked at Northside for over 30 years and on Leadership Team for more than 20 years.

PYP CoordinatorMrs Joanna Laverick

Joanna has been at Northside for ten years, teaching Standard 1 and 4. She is now the PYP Coordinator. Previously, she taught PYP and MYP at an international school in Norway. She holds a Master’s in Education (Leadership and Management) and is an IB workshop leader.

Head of Student & Community LifeMrs Sanne Watson

Sanne has been at Northside for seven years, teaching Standard 5, 6, and 7. She is now Head of Student and Community Life, coordinating co-curricular programs and school trips. She also aids in policy-making and marketing. Sanne holds a Bachelor’s in Education from the Netherlands.

Head of Upper PrimaryMr Faith Shirto

Faith is an experienced and passionate teacher, currently teaching Standard 7 and specializing in Science. He began his career in *** and has worked at Northside for over 5 years. In January 2025, he became Head of Upper Primary and a remarkable member of the Leadership Team.

Head of Lower PrimaryMrs Sian Noble

Sian has been a devoted teacher at Northside since 2010, teaching Reception, Standard 1, 2, and 4. She excels in providing a well-rounded education. As Head of Early Years, she collaborates with a creative, compassionate team and connects with all students.

Moatlhodi K. Lekaukau – Chairperson
Moatlhodi K. Lekaukau has served on the School Council since 2015. He is a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years of financial services industry experience. He is currently the Managing Director of Kalahari Capital, a corporate finance advisory firm. His prior corporate roles include Acting Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer of the Botswana Development Corporation, Managing Director of Standard Chartered Bank Botswana Limited and Partner, Corporate Finance at Deloitte. He is the Chairman of Cresta Marakanelo Limited and serves as a Director of Water Utilities Corporation Limited. He is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants, a fellow member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of Cape Town in South Africa.

Oankgoga Mongwaketse
Oankgoga Mongwaketse is employed by De Beers Global Sightholder Sales as a Human Resources Manager. She acts as a strategic partner to the business to ensure functional performance by providing the appropriate advice and facilitating integrated people management tools and processes. She also coordinates the inclusion and diversity portfolio. She has worked across the service and telecommunication industries within the HR function. Oankgoga holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Botswana and an MSc in Strategic Management from the University of Derby obtained through the British Council.

Anver Abdulla
Anver Abdulla is a Consulting Civil/Structural Engineer with over 25years experience in the industry. He is Managing Director of Turnkey Construction and Engineering which specialises in Design and Build projects. Anver provides design expertise in structural/civil engineering, project management and contractual management on construction projects. He is a Chartered Professional Engineer registered with ERB and ECSA. He holds a BSc. and M.C.E from The Johns Hopkins University. He is a father of 4, all of whom have attended or are attending Northside School

Simon Hirschfeld
Simon is a director responsible for leading the Consulting, Financial Advisory and Risk Advisory Services Lines of the Deloitte Botswana Office. His professional career spans more than 15 years of experience in project management, advisory services and business development in international financial services. Simon’s focus area is in strategy development and he is passionate about private and public sector transformational programmes. As a Certified PRINCE2 Practitioner, he has led multi-disciplinary teams and helped clients realise value in their operations across information technology, power & utilities, financial services, mining & energy, and the public sector infrastructure development.

Simon has an MSc. in Strategic Management from the University of Derby School of Business and a BSc. in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University.

Kefhilwe Mokotedi
Kefhilwe Mokotedi is currently employed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a Project Manager. She acts as the focal person for the Ministry of Trade & Industry, and provides support to the ministry on project implementation, policy/strategy formulation and capacity development. She is also an entrepreneur in the hospitality industry since 2011. She has worked across the entrepreneurship development and banking sectors. Kefhilwe holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Botswana and a Master of Business Administration from Regent Business School. She is also a certified consultant and trainer.

Francesca Fratus Brink
Italian Lawyer | Legal Consultant | Director, Okavango Fishing Safaris (Pty) Ltd.
Francesca Fratus Brink is a qualified Italian lawyer with over 15 years of experience in civil law,
legal consultancy, and notary practices. Educated at prestigious institutions including Università
Cattolica del Sacro Cuore and Luiss Guido Carli in Italy, she has trained under respected legal
professionals and gained practical expertise at leading law and notary firms in Rome.
Currently practicing law both independently in Telgate and with Studio Legale Ruffolo in
Bologna, Francesca specializes in civil law, offering legal advisory and representation to
individuals and businesses. She is also a Director of Okavango Fishing Safaris (Pty) Ltd. in
Botswana, combining her legal acumen with entrepreneurial leadership in the tourism and
hospitality sector.
Fluent in Italian and English, Francesca brings a unique blend of international legal expertise
and business insight to every professional endeavor.
